Anti-HBc (T) assay is used to perform qualitative detection of antibody to hepatitis B core antigen in human serum and plasma.  The specimen reactive for Anti-HBc Total aids in the diagnosis of hepatitis B infection and also can be used as screening test to prevent transmission of hepatitis B virus to recipients.
