Patient Preparation

• As per directed by physician.
• If fasting insuline is adviced, fast for 10 hours prior to blood collection.
• During fasting period do not eat anything, you can drink only water (do not drink juice, coffee, tea or any other beverage).  
• You can take medicine unless your physician tells you not to.

Transport Condition and sample stability

Bring sample to the lab within three hours after collection in ambient temperature; in case of processed sample (e.g., for researchers, field collection) serum or plasma  sample should be send to lab to analyze as soon as possible after drawing blood.serum/plasma to be stored at -10⁰c upto 7 days
